This week, Alexey Yanson, Managing Director of LANCK Telecom, reflects on the company’s 25-year journey, from its beginnings as a voice carrier to its position today as a global telecom solutions provider.

You are celebrating your 25th anniversary this year. What milestones have defined your journey?

LANCK Telecom was founded in 2001 as an international voice carrier, and it’s been an exciting journey ever since. Over the past 25 years, we’ve grown alongside the industry, expanding our portfolio beyond voice and SMS to include messaging, roaming, eSIM, DID services, fraud prevention, and comprehensive enterprise communications.

As we’ve grown, so has our global footprint. Today, we work with more than 1,500 partners across 190+ countries, supported by our dedicated regional teams and experts based across 39 countries worldwide. Every new market, partnership, and solution has been an important step in our journey.

Looking back, one of our most significant milestones has been our evolution from a traditional traffic carrier into a telecom solutions provider. That evolution continues to shape how we support our partners today—and how we approach the future.

What sets your approach apart when working with different regions and partner segments?

We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every partner has different objectives, so we adapt our solutions to fit their specific needs. This requires deep regional specialization.

In Europe, we focus on optimizing origin-based routing, while in the Middle East, helping partners navigate sender ID regulations is often a key priority.

In Africa, we expand connectivity options for our partners through local presence and direct interconnections. In LATAM, we help partners navigate compliance requirements and changes in market and network structures, with a dedicated local-language technical assistance line.

We also recognize that different industries have different communication requirements. Across EMEA and APAC, our enterprise efforts are particularly focused on supporting the rapidly growing fintech and e-commerce sectors, where reliability, security, and scalability are essential.

Ultimately, our combination of global reach and local expertise allows us to deliver solutions tailored to both our partners and the markets they operate in.

What new demands are enterprises bringing to you today, and how are your solutions adapting to them?

Enterprises are becoming increasingly cost-conscious. They carefully evaluate the ROI of every communication channel they use. At the same time, they need to communicate with customers through the channels they actually use, which, in turn, is driving demand for multichannel communication strategies.

Consequently, businesses can no longer rely on a single channel. They may need one approach for marketing, another for urgent notifications, and a completely different channel for authentication.

To support this, we provide a CPaaS platform that brings together SMS, Voice OTP, AI-Voice, RCS, and OTT messengers within a single ecosystem.

We’re also seeing growing demand for local numbering solutions as enterprises expand internationally, which is why we launched a dedicated business unit focused on DID services.

Looking at the wider telecom industry, what are the most exciting developments and critical issues you are seeing?

One of the most exciting developments we’re seeing is the rapid growth of the eSIM market and the opportunities it’s creating for operators, aggregators, and enterprises. As demand for digital connectivity continues to grow, we’re helping partners unlock new revenue streams through our Travel Data eSIM solutions, including Pay-As-You-Go, Ready-Made, and White-Label models.

At the same time, the industry continues to face increasingly sophisticated fraud threats, including Artificially Generated Traffic (AIT), grey routing, PBX hacking, and Wangiri. The ITW Global Leaders’ Forum recently reported that 92% of carriers now cite fraud prevention as a top strategic priority.

This is why trust and security remain such critical issues. Our AI-driven Fraud Management System operates with 99.8% accuracy, blocks more than 70 million fraudulent calls and SMS messages each month, and saves partners over $6 million in fraud-related losses monthly.

What are LANCK Telecom’s main goals and strategic priorities today, and where do you see the company in five years’ time?

Our primary goal is to help partners navigate a rapidly changing communications landscape. Declining traditional voice and SMS volumes, pricing pressure, and increasingly sophisticated fraud continue to create challenges across the industry.

To address this, we focus on traffic quality, channel diversification, and operational excellence. By utilizing outsourcing and gateway models, we provide partners with a single point of control that reduces complexity, supports compliance, and helps stabilize revenues.

Looking ahead, we see LANCK Telecom evolving into a fully integrated ecosystem that brings together voice, messaging, roaming, and value-added services. We will continue strengthening interregional connectivity and expanding partnerships with local operators, particularly in high-growth markets such as Africa and Latin America.

Ultimately, our goal is to help partners adapt, compete, and grow in an increasingly complex global market.
