Alexey Yanson for GCCM: LANCK Telecom’s Solutions for the Future of Voice, Messaging & Enterprise Communications

We are pleased to share GCCM Magazine’s latest interview with Alexey Yanson, Managing Director of LANCK Telecom.

Alexey discusses changes in global voice and messaging, the shift to multichannel communications, the development of our CPaaS platform, the growing importance of ROI for enterprises, and the expanding role of AI in fraud prevention, routing, analytics, and customer support.

As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, Alexey looks at how these developments are shaping LANCK Telecom’s evolution into a comprehensive telecom solutions provider, helping partners navigate increasing complexity while maintaining secure, reliable global connectivity.

We thank our partners and Carrier Community for their support and invite you to read the full interview for more insights into our strategy and future plans.

Over the past year, what major shifts have you observed in global voice and messaging traffic, and how have these changes influenced your strategic priorities?

The decline in traditional voice and SMS volumes is well known, and the market is adapting to these shifts.

Telcos and businesses are facing increasing pricing pressure, driven by rising SMS costs and exclusivity deals that further complicate the landscape. At the same time, operating conditions are becoming more volatile, while fraud continues to escalate—ranging from Artificially Generated Traffic (AIT) and grey routing to PBX hacking, Wangiri, and smishing.

As a result, businesses can no longer rely on a single communication channel. Instead, they are forced to adopt multichannel strategies, which require more resources and make long-term planning significantly more complex.

LANCK Telecom’s strategic priority is to address these challenges through a combination of strict traffic quality control, channel diversification, and operational excellence.

First, we ensure clean traffic using our AI-driven Fraud Management System, which operates at the signalling level to block artificial traffic and grey routes in real time—restoring trust and protecting both telco and enterprise revenues. As a result, we’re seeing a growing number of partners turning to us for both stability and scalability.

Second, we reduce reliance on single channels by enabling flexible, multichannel strategies. We provide a full spectrum of communication options—including SMS, voice, RCS, and OTT platforms—alongside enterprise-focused products such as call center solutions, Voice OTP, and DID services.

As part of this broader shift, we are seeing growing demand for local numbering solutions, with more clients requesting DID services to support their regional expansion. In response, we have restructured our operations, launching a dedicated business unit focused on DID.

At the same time, we continue to expand our global footprint by strengthening interregional connectivity and supporting high-growth markets with dedicated teams. We are actively partnering with local operators—particularly in Africa and Latin America—to further enhance our coverage and regional presence.

Finally, our flexible outsourcing and gateway models provide a single point of control for inbound and outbound traffic. This reduces operational complexity, ensures compliance, and helps partners recover lost traffic while stabilizing and growing their revenues.

How has your CPaaS platform matured since we last spoke, and what new demands or challenges are enterprises bringing to you today, and how are these shaping the way you design and deliver communication solutions?

Since we last spoke, our CPaaS platform has matured significantly, largely driven by the evolving priorities of our enterprise clients. In today’s market, businesses are far more cost-sensitive and focused on controlling spend. They are carefully evaluating the ROI of each communication channel, making financial performance a key decision factor.

To meet these demands, we are actively expanding the product portfolio presented on the platform. For instance, voice verification has now been fully rolled out, and the integration of new OTT channels is currently underway. Crucially, we pair these core communication channels with powerful value-added services directly on the platform—specifically our in-depth analytics and AI-driven anti-fraud protection. We are also actively developing digital identity solutions. This product is in the development stage, particularly when coverage is concerned, but we are constantly addressing coverage gaps and network-related challenges..

Leveraging our platform capabilities, we are expanding the business in EMEA and APAC, with a primary focus on the fintech and e-commerce sectors.

Within such sectors, and beyond cost, another major demand from enterprises is the need to simply ‘be where your customers are,’ which is the core driver behind modern multichannel strategies. Enterprises realize that channel selection must be tailored to the specific objective; one set of channels works best for marketing, another is ideal for urgent notifications, and a completely different approach is needed for secure authentication.

These demands directly shape how we design and deliver our solutions. We aim to offer a full range of channels from a single point of access. We actively consult with our clients to recommend the optimal combinations and design region-specific, use-case-specific fallback scenarios—like cascade delivery—while ensuring the absolute integrity of their traffic.

You previously highlighted AI as a key driver of innovation. How has its role expanded across your operations beyond fraud management, particularly in areas such as routing, analytics, or customer experience?

While our Fraud Management System is the most visible application of our artificial intelligence, we have actively expanded these technologies across our entire operational stack, particularly within our Quality of Service department.

Today, AI and advanced statistical modeling drive our routing optimization and network analytics. Instead of relying on manual oversight, our proprietary monitoring systems use predictive models to continuously track critical indicators. This allows our analytics teams to instantly detect hidden anomalies, shifting our routing from a reactive to a highly proactive process.

This capability directly feeds into our customer experience. For instance, we have implemented a hybrid route testing model where automated systems conduct a rigorous ten-point quality assessment in real time. Because our systems instantly flag network issues, we can proactively resolve potential disruptions within ten minutes—often before our partners are even aware of a problem.

Furthermore, we have successfully integrated AI into our customer support processes to automate the triage and resolution of incoming requests, drastically improving our response times. Ultimately, this integration of predictive analytics is a major reason we recently achieved a 96% customer satisfaction rating.

While we actively leverage AI across our solutions, what truly defines us is our commitment to a highly personalized approach. We believe in using AI where it creates real value—while ensuring that human expertise and tailored solutions remain at the core of everything we do.

Looking ahead, what priorities will define the next phase of growth for LANCK Telecom, and where do you see the greatest opportunities for differentiation?

Looking ahead, our growth will be defined by our complete evolution from an international traffic carrier into a comprehensive telecom solutions provider. Our greatest opportunities for differentiation lie in four areas: our measurable global scale, tailored client solutions, deep regional specialization, and a strong synergy of products.

To put our scale into perspective, we support over 1,500 partners across 190-plus countries. However, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model, we actively adapt to each partner’s commercial objectives. We also tailor our strategies to regional realities—whether that means optimizing origin-based routing in Asia-Pacific, navigating complex sender ID regulations in the Middle East, or deploying local expertise to secure traffic integrity in high-fraud environments like Africa and LATAM.

Furthermore, our product synergy is a major differentiator. We integrate voice, messaging, and value-added services into one unified ecosystem. This is strengthened by our AI-driven Fraud Management System, which goes beyond simply blocking attacks to actively help telcos and businesses boost margins, safeguard their reputation, improve monetization, and reduce operational complexity.

Celebrating our twenty-fifth anniversary this year, we are channeling over two decades of industry expertise into providing our partners with both stability and innovation. Ultimately, our next phase of growth is not just about connecting our partners, but actively empowering them to adapt, compete, and thrive in an increasingly complex communications landscape.
